Rectosigmocolonoscopy under intravenous anesthesia

1. Appointment with the Chief of the department of endoscopy, 1^st qualification category endoscopist, Vera K. Kozlova
2. Appointment with a higher qualification category intensivist
3. Inpatient treatment at the department of surgery
4. Laboratory tests: complete blood count, urinalysis, blood chemistry, coagulation profile, serological tests (Rh and blood group)
5. Electrocardiogram (ECG)
6. X-ray examination of thoracic organs
7. Rectosigmocolonoscopy using video-endoscopy system
8. Biopsy sampling
9. Anesthesia and post-anesthesia monitoring
10. Medications used for local anesthesia
11. Histological examination of biopsy material

Rectosigmocolonoscopy (without chromoscopy) is performed using video-endoscopy system under intravenous anesthesia
